Getting to know your courses. A course-setting workshop for race officers, volunteers and dinghy sailors

Fri 25th September, 19:30-21:00  ·  Solent Room
2161263 1024xdne

If you're a volunteer who would like to understand the tips, tricks and secrets of setting race courses, or even just a sailor who doesn't know their Oakhaven from their Scott Bailey, this workshop is for you!

Led by Rob Martin, this interactive workshop will take you through the factors that influence course setting and we'll also do some hands-on exercises, planning courses based on weather, tide and fleet information.

We will refer to the LTSC Race Officers' manual which covers course setting extensively, and also the River Marks and West Solent Marks charts, which are available to download.

There's no charge for this workshop and the bar will be open.

Please join us for a friendly and informative introduction to running LTSC club races here in the Western Solent.
